have a seat, please

Now, I know these chairs are completely out of our price range, but they are exactly what I have been searching for. I've needed some modern chairs to fit our modern couch, and with a touch of color/fabric. These are divine. Darn that price tag!

I wouldn't mind having a more traditional chair and have them re-upholstered in modern fabric. I just have to find the right ones. Ideas??

  1. I've always liked this chair but they are pricey. I've been seeing some amazing reupholstering projects on the web lately. Everyone seems to be getting chairs for really cheap at yard sales and redoing the seats. Maybe that's an option?

  9. Oh I love those as well, but totally agree they are out of my price range as well. I hit up thrift stores and always end up finding gems there that I can get recovered.

  13. i used to live on the North Shore of Chicago and once a year you could put absolutely anything out to the curb for the garbage to be picked up. My girlfriend found a wonderful old high back chair. She cleaned it up, painted the wood, and upholstered it in an indian blanket.....southwest furniture was all the rage then... and it looked great.
